Karl Malone to Work with Utah Jazz Big Men

SALT LAKE CITY (May 29, 2013)– Utah Jazz Head Coach, Tyrone Corbin, has announced that Karl Malone (Jazz 1985-2003) will work with Jazz forward Derrick Favors and center Enes Kanter, as well as others on an as-needed basis.  No structured schedule has been set for Malone’s participation.

“It is great to have Karl as a resource for the team,” said Corbin. “He is one of the most talented big men to have ever played this game.”

A 2010 Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame inductee, Malone was a two-time NBA Most Valuable Player (1997, ’99) and a 14-time NBA All-Star for the Utah Jazz from 1985-2003. He was named as one of the NBA’s 50 Greatest Players in 1996 and ranks second on the NBA’s all-time scoring list with 36,928 points.
